Actually, my experience over the past couple of years hasn't necessarily been something that would be interesting, were it committed to record.
Festivals are a time to play the songs people know and are looking forward to hearing.
I think people who traditionally ate haggis wouldn't eat the good cuts, 'cause they'd sell the good cuts to make their money, so they get left with all the crap.
I like albums that knit together, where the songs relate to one another and intertwine.

In terms of covers, it's always nice to do ones that aren't actually getting played by the original artist anymore. I just love the song; I love that band, and it's nice to be able to play it.
