I'm associated with gospel music in the minds of millions of people.
There is a sound that comes from gospel music that doesn't come from anything else. It is a sound of peace. It is a sound of, 'I'm going to make it through all of this.
Gospel music is the purest thing there is on this earth.
I guess when I got into my preteens, I turned about 12 and I decided to sing R&B, because I felt like one day there were some things I felt like I would want to say, that I couldn't say with gospel music.
Personally I prefer Gospel music.
