For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes (Matthew 5). But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. I have no formula for winning the race. Everyone runs in her own way, or his own way. And where does the power come from, to see the race to its end? From within. If you commit yourself to the love of Christ, then that is how you run a straight race.

The cure for a lonely heart is to be alone with Jesus!
