Bernie Sanders lost the Democratic presidential nomination to Hillary Clinton, but he won more than 12 million votes in the primaries and was respectfully and elaborately saluted by Hillary Clinton, whom he has endorsed.
I would not vote for the Democratic candidate. I could not vote for Donald Trump. I would therefore have to write in someone. I could get behind any other Republican candidate, any of them.
My mom was always active. She was always an active voter, whether it was local, state, or federal elections. My mom would take us to polling locations when we were kids.
I would never filibuster any President’s judicial nominee, period. I might vote against them, but I will always see they came to a vote.
A vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Isreal.
I'm responsible. I even did a commercial for MTV saying how I was going to register to vote. And I still haven't.
The Never Trumpers, no matter what is learned about Hillary Clinton, they will not vote for Trump.
There is no history of Donald Trump associating with the Ku Klux Klan. None whatsoever. But beyond that, people are saying that Trump is insensitive and he's boorish and he's a pig, and now he's sympathetic to all of these extreme right-wing groups 'cause that's who elected him. Okay, how many members of the Klan are there? The number is 200,000 tops. Tops! How many white supremacists are there? Where do they live? How do you campaign for them? Where do you get their votes? Where are they registered and how do you reach them in a campaign?
The active Trump supporter is the Trumpster who can tell you exactly why. And if you tell the active Trump supporter that you don't, he will try to convince you to change your mind. That's an active Trump voter or supporter.
I would just say Hillary [Clinton] did win the popular vote.
The Republican Party seems just as eager as the Democrats to pronounce their voters as extreme kooks.
The American people - Republican voters especially - are fed up with the status quo.
Republican voters are fed up with Democrats and Democrat policy.
The pool of illegal immigrants is like a qualified bunch of people. You don't have to do surveys. You don't have to interview them. You know they are ready-made Democrat voters. Not only that, they are readymade Democrat constituents.
It's what [Barak] Obama was complaining about. All this is now up to the voters - who, of course, the Democrats do not trust. People who would have benefited from the programs face no imminent threat of deportation because Congress has provided money to deal with only a small percentage of people who live in the country illegally.
The Democrats' version of immigration is all about securing additional votes.
The senators are clearly willing to incur your wrath at reelection time. They would much rather do that than deal with whatever is gonna happen to them if they vote to repeal Obamacare. They're afraid of somebody. They are concerned about somebody or something, but it isn't you. Despite the most important thing in their lives, being reelected, that's what you do.
All of these promises and all of these votes to repeal Obamacare since 2010, now when senators have the power to actually do it, they don't do it, they can't do it. After all these promises, after all these times being elected on the basis of that promise, and yet they obviously don't fear the voters in their states nearly as much as they fear something else.
That's Donald Trump negotiating position. "Okay. If we can't vote to repeal Obamacare, I'm standing by and I'm letting it die. I'm letting it implode. I'm gonna let it fail, and it's on the Democrats, and I'll make sure everybody knows it's on the Democrats. I am not gonna own this sucker. It isn't mine. I had nothing to do with it. I've engaged in good-faith efforts to fix this and people aren't interested."
See, I am the mayor of Realville, and science is not up to a vote. It either is or isn't. Whatever it is, it is or isn't, but it's not up to a vote. Global warming doesn't exist because a "consequences of scientists" agree. Manmade global warming either is happening or it isn't, but it isn't up to a vote. But it is being presented to you as a consequences of scientists. Therefore, the science is not settled. Besides that, we all know that it's a hoax now. It's just some people don't want to accept that, but it is.
[The Democrats] are sitting there thinking they really won. They won the popular vote. "We're only talking about this election Kellyanne [Conway]. You don't have a mandate, you don't have a mandate."
Popularity is not the single determining factor, as we all know, in how people vote.
Republican primary voters, whether they're close primaries or open, are voting for anybody but candidates attached to the Republican establishment.
Not getting rid of [Donald] Trump because there's a slew of Republican voters that don't want to get rid of Trump.
Hillary [Clinton] had all these A-listers, well, look at this parade of losers that did that video encouraging electors to not vote for [Donald] Trump.
