We are going to be working very hard on the inner cities having to do with education, having to do with crime. We're going to try and fix as quickly as possible.
It's taken a hundred years or more for some of these places [inner cities] to evolve and they evolved many of them very badly, but we're going to work very hard on health and health care.
We're going to be working in a stringent way and very good way on crime.
We're going to do a lot of work on the inner cities, I have great people lined up to help.
I actually thought I had a meeting with congressman [Elijah] Cummings and he was all excited. Then he said, I can't move, it might be bad for me politically. I was all set.
[Elijah Cummings] probably was told by [Chuck] Schumer or somebody like that some some other light weight, he was probably told - he was probably told, don't meet with Trump. It's bad politics. And that's part of the problem in this country.
Some of the signs [of anti-Semitism] you'll see are not put up by the people that love or like Donald Trump. They are put up by the other side.
The press is dishonest, but the political press is especially dishonest.
Obamacare covers very few people.
While leaving our own border wide open. Anybody can come in. But don't worry, we're getting a wall.We're getting bad people out of this country.
We have authorized the construction, one day, of the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines. And issued a new rule.American steel. If they want a pipeline in the United States, they're going to use pipe that's made in the United States.
My administration's policies on regulatory reform, tax reform, trade policies, will return significant manufacturing jobs to our country.
I've seen what's happened to America. We're no longer respected.
American products are better than the Chinese. We do a better job. We make better products. But because the currency is so low versus the dollar versus other things, and so much lower than it should be, it's very hard to compete for our companies.
The fact is that the Chinese are taking advantage of America. And by the way, the Chinese can't even believe that they're getting away with it.
The Chinese view us as an enemy, very, very militant toward the United States, and I don't even think the United States knows it.
When oil goes over $40 a barrel it's almost impossible for America to do well.
In America, we're not making anything anymore. China and other countries are making our products. We are rebuilding China.
The politicians in America are all taken over by the lobbyists. I really believe the lobbyists keep them shut up because China and Chinese companies have all got tremendous lobbyists.
I think politicians in America don't speak up because their local lobbyist has them shut up.
I would tell China that if you don't straighten out your manipulation of the currency - and I mean fast; I mean really fast - we are going to tax your products 25%.
We make a product here in America and - they copy it in China and they couldn't care less about infringement or anything else. We talk about the environmentalists. You know, they all want us to make our plan so that nothing can go into the air. Do you think China's doing that? They laugh at us.
America created a vacuum in Iraq and ISIS formed. But had we taken the oil something else would've very good happened. They would not have been able to fuel their rather unbelievable drive to destroy large portions of the world.
We wanna have a very stable, very solid Mexico. Even more solid than it is right now. And they need it also. Lots of things are coming across Mexico that they don't want. I think the wall is going to be a good thing for both countries. And I think the relationship will be better than ever before.
America has to make a new trade deal with Mexico because we're getting clobbered.
