I'm hoping there's cohesion in these tracks. Some of them were made weeks ago, some were made in 2010, but they've all stood out as one big thing I want to give to everyone. The concept behind No Plans references a few of concerns: having no plans with school, no plans with jobs, and no plans for the future. I'm hoping these songs can help you forget about those concerns, at least for 30 minutes of your day.
I've been recording myself since grade 10. Back then, it was just really crappy rock stuff.
I was referencing the Bible: "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" But I'm not religious. I just thought it was a good title.
I got my MacBook in the first year at university, and that's really when I stopped playing live instruments and started geeking out on my laptop.
I've always been a fan of rap.
I just love having little vocal snippets like laughs and coughs, not necessarily stuff that has huge significance, just little human qualities.
I take out little moments of silence before or after they sing, because I just love those weird pauses.
I just use Logic, so I need to get more keyboards and gear. I need to get my Korg.
Future's Pluto is my favorite album of the year. It's so emo. Future is the number one dude I'd love to produce for - every time I listen to the song he did with Rihanna, "Loveeeeeee Song", I'm like, "I should have produced that."
I was the drummer in a band called Hemsworth for a brief stint, too - it was not very great. I didn't even write the songs, but the band was named after me.
