Its object is not personal Mukti, although Mukti is a necessary condition of the yoga, but the liberation and transformation of the human being. There are three types of disease: body disease, mind disease, and nervous system disease. When the mind is diseased, the whole body is diseased. It is not the property of any one group or any one individual, but can be followed by any and all, in any corner of the globe, regardless of class, creed or religion.

There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.

Being a seeker means no matter what the Vedas said, what Krishna or Shiva said, you have to know the truth in your own experience.

The full ashtanga system practiced with devotion leads to freedom within one's heart.
