You can use the tax code to make people smoke less. You can use the tax code to make 'em smoke more. You can use the tax code to make 'em buy beer or buy less beer, more booze or less booze. You can screw the tax code around to make 'em make more charitable contributions. You think they're going to get rid of this power? Ain't no way, fool.
I'll bet you half of my problems with liberals in the media is I live in Literalville. I say what I mean. That's politically incorrect. Most people don't say what they mean.
Susan Rice has withdrawn her name from the running to be the next secretary of state. The thing is, she was never nominated. I think this whole thing has been a giant distraction. I think [Barack] Obama wanted somebody else in there all along.
You might have some people that disagree with populism and anti-globalism and so forth, but Donald Trump has no desire to undermine America.
Donald Trump has no design to transform America. Donald Trump doesn't think America is second-rate. Donald Trump doesn't think America's guilty. Donald Trump doesn't think America owes people things. Donald Trump doesn't think that the borders are to be wide open so that anybody who wants here can come here because we've screwed them at some time in the past.
Donald Trump doesn't believe that the Constitution is a suicide pact.
The people that can't win elections, outside of Barack Obama, the people on the Democrat side who cannot win elections, who do not have the votes to stop Donald Trump at all in a constitutional sense, have to now behave outside the Constitution in order to stop the duly elected president of the United States about whom they can produce no evidence that his election was fraudulent.
There were 33,000 missing Hillary [Clinton] emails. Nobody could find them. She claimed she deleted them. She handed over 30,000 to the State Department. They had them. They analyzed them. There are 30,000 she deleted. But people claimed that they had them. Like Kim Dotcom and there were others, that claimed they knew where they were, but nobody could produce them.
[Donald] Trump at a press conference personally asked the Russians to get involved in the search [of missed Hillary Clinton's emails].
[Donald Trump] said, "Maybe the Russians could find those [Hillary Clinton's] emails - and if the Russians find 'em, please give them to the media." Well, I don't know how you get there from here, but the media then reported that Trump was encouraging the Russians to hack the Hillary campaign and produce the evidence to the media.
[The press] had no sense of humor about [Donald Trump's personal ask the Russians to get involved into the Hillary Clinton's emails search]. That's why Maxine Waters and others think that Trump and the Russians were working together to hack the election.
We have, a Democrat Party once again adding to the civility of the discourse, Maxine Waters claiming that [Donald] Trump and his people are scumbags 'cause Trump wants to help [Vladimir] Putin put the Soviet Union back together by raping a bunch of other countries and stealing their resources.
What deal is [Maxine Waters] talking about? [Rex] Tillerson's done a lot of deals. [Donald] Trump's done a lot of deals, but she's got a deal in mind that Tillerson negotiated with [Vladimir] Putin. Putin is there, or Tillerson's there to lift the sanctions.
I think you know what's new about this the Democrat Party not liking the Russians. That's a first. The Democrat Party not liking the idea the Soviet Union back together.
The Democrat Party loved the Soviet Union! The Democrat Party in the eighties and the seventies propped up the Soviet Union.
The Democrat Party of the 1980s chose the Soviet Union over Ronald Reagan, in Nicaragua, and in Moscow as well. Now, all of a sudden, they don't like Russia and they don't like the Soviet Union?
Nobody's ever gonna hold [ Lena Dunham] accountable. She's a liberal and she's a woman and so she's doubly indemnified against any serious analysis of what the hell she says or thinks. It's a clear example of the double standard out there.
This woman [Lena Dunham] makes up being raped or something at Oberlin College and then she did commercials for Hillary [Clinton] so she's a darling, she ran that TV show at HBO. HBO's a left-wing enclave. It's worshiped. And so she benefits from that.
The conservative movement today is so fractured that I think you'd have a tough time actually defining it and pointing to it.
Who is the conservative movement, where is it located, and who runs it, and who's in charge of it? They can't even agree within the conservative movement who is a conservative and who isn't.
If Milo [Yiannopoulos] were a liberal, he could say whatever and then some, and he wouldn't be addressing Conservative Political Action Conference, he would be emceeing the Oscars.
I go wading into the fire fit, but the conservative movement - jeez. Look at Milo [Yiannopoulos]. He's in his twenties. He's flamboyantly gay. We're nowhere near the conservative movement here. Ideologically he's pure. Ideologically he's brave, he's right down the line.
[John] McCain has never ripped into [Barack] Obama the way he rips into [Donald] Trump or other Republicans.
To [Democrats], government's everything, controlling it, expanding it is everything. And it's not to us [the Republicans]. So they leave nothing to chance. If you reject them, "Well, screw you." They'll find a way to either bollix up what defeated them or just overwhelm the system with what they want anyway by bullying so many people at so frequent a time that people just give up, say, "All right, all right, okay, I'm tired," and the left gets what they want.
[Donald] Trump doesn't give up and let [the Democrats] have what they want. But people around Trump and some others in the world of politics do.
